Frequently asked questions

  • Schedule a 15-minute consultation with me by email or contact page or schedule with the button at the bottom of the screen via ZocDoc! I am using ZocDoc for appointment management, which allows a virtual meeting space that is secure for anyone using Telehealth as well as my availability and form submission. Currently, due to insurance contracts, I have contracted with Headway for a portion of my billing and follow up may happen from Headway for insurance verification. If there are any problems with scheduling, please send an email or give me a call.

  • A free consultation will review your concerns, a brief review of therapeutic style, discuss payments and scheduling.

  • Sessions are available via Telehealth or in-person. Sessions available in Plymouth beginning July 1st on Tuesday-Thursday or Monday mornings in Blaine. Telehealth available from Monday-Friday.

  • Currently, credentialed with Aetna, Medica, Optum, and United Behavioral Health for in-network benefits.

Contracts are pending with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners and UCare, and have a waitlist for individuals who are in one of those plans.

Self-pay with superbills are available for those interested in working with Path Forward and not on a credentialed insurance plan. Sliding scale is offered and can reach out by email to determine if there are available sliding scale appointments. Sliding scale fees range from $90-150 per session.

  • Some people choose to pay out of pocket for therapy to maintain greater privacy, avoid receiving a mental health diagnosis, or work with a therapist who isn’t on insurance panels. This can be especially important for individuals in careers with strict reporting requirements—such as aviation or military deployment—where a documented mental health diagnosis might impact their employment status. Private pay offers flexibility in scheduling, treatment approach, and session length without insurance restrictions, allowing for faster access, uninterrupted care, and a therapist who feels like the right fit. Many see it as a meaningful investment in their well-being and performance.

  • You’re welcome to cancel or reschedule appointments at no charge with at least 48 hours notice. For late cancellations or missed appointments, a $50 fee may apply. Please note that insurance will not cover late fees and this will be the responsibility of the client. I understand that unexpected things come up, so once per year, I’ll gladly waive one late cancellation. Your time is valuable, and so is the sustainability of this practice—thank you for understanding and honoring this policy.
